Safety Chain Holders | 10mm to 19mm Chain

G80 Truck trailer safety chain holders use a 4140 high tensile pin on vehicles that weigh over 3500kg.

The safety chain holder must be welded on its entire length, top and bottom or at least 110mm.

The safety chain is required to be attached to the trailer via a hammerlock or have a chain link welded on the horizontal on the chassis rail. A short link galvanised safety chain connects a hammerlock to this versatile safety chain holder.

Installation:

• Steel Chassis: Weld the safety chain holder to the tow bar. Weld safety chain holders directly to the trailer chassis rail as close as possible to the coupling.
• Aluminium Chassis: Weld the chain holder to a plate then bolt the chain holder to the trailer via four high tensile bolts.

Legal Safety Chain Details

• One 10mm chain is required on trailers up to 2.5t
• Two 13mm chain holders are required for trailers up to 3.5t.
