Oil Bath Bearing Cap

The oil bath bearing cap is OEM equipment from the USA. The price quoted is one pair of oil bath caps.

The oil-bearing cap fits the following hub, disc rotors, and drums

• Australian Slimline and Holden Bearing Kits
• 1.98-inch Dexter, Kodiak, and DeeMaxx American Bearing Kits (3500lbs)
• 2.441-inch Dexter, Kodiak, and DeeMaxx American Bearing Kits.

The oil bath ensures bearings are lubricated.

In addition, a special oil seal is required to be purchased with the above oil bath caps.

This Oil Seal is multi-ribbed and dual function ensuring a watertight seal and eliminating unwanted friction during rotation.

Visual inspection before hookup to ensure the oil has not turned Black. Black oil indicated bearing wear.

Precautions

Do not overfill the bearing cap. The correct oil level is below the grommet. When filling, remove the grommet and fill until no further oil flows into the bearing cavity. Replace the grommet.

Bearings still require regular checking for tightness. Place a container under the oil cap and remove the cap.

Finally, wear and tear on the bearing castings causes contaminated oil.
