OK, tell me about it. Trailer plugs are a damn
hassle. Dirt, rain, dust and almost anything will stop them from working. If you
have a problem with your trailer plug then do not just replace them as the
problem will return. Upgrade your trailer plug to a more heavy duty type
then the connections will last longer or God willing, the problem may never
reappear.
There are lots of trailers plugs around. I prefer 7
pin flat because the terminals are larger. You only need 5 pins normally but run electric brakes
and an aux circuit then you need seven. If your plugs are likely to get a lot of wear then
use the metal versions as they are more durable.
