The poor old shackle plate and bushing almost never gets checked but can lead to a bucket load of trouble when their start to overload your springs.
If your bolts looks off center then you will need to replace bolts, shackle plate and bush. Nope, it not expensive but can be if you break a spring and get stuck out the never, never!
If your shackle plates are almost horizonal then there are two things you need to check.
Your leaf spring may have collasped and needs replacement or
Your hangers are mounted in the wrong position. Incorrect placement of hangers is common. Measure the length of your spring and add 25mm for the correct centers on your hangers.
