Commonly purchased to move trailer from the wharf to the workshop. Best option for these trailers is to remove the US couplings and axles, replace then with Australian equipment. The new Australian equipment will all be approved for registration and future repairs.
It is very difficult to find American hubs, drums, bearings, seals and dust caps in the Australian market to replace equipment as it becomes faulty or for same equipment to meet Australian Standards during registration.
To comply with Australian standards couplers must be stamped with the ball size, ball capacity, manufacturers name and the relevant Australian Standard.
